May 27, 2014

Well hello there.
Yeah yeah, I know I said I wouldn't be blogging anymore. However, I ended up transferring this blog so that is won't get deleted when my school email gets deleted. Just thought I  would say something. While in all truth, I'm actually testing to see if this will actually post and I did it correctly.
So did I?

This blog post.....

I Dedicate This Post To......

Two more weeks till school is out! And this is my last required blog post! Should I keep posting? I doubt anyone will actually read it, & the million dollar question is: Can I actually remember to post?
Eh, maybe if I had an attentive audience that gives me feedback, or acknowledgement; that kind of jazz. Well onto the important stuff.

I sit upon the couch, typing and remembering. Thinking about how nervous I had been when faced with the prospect of writing a blog. What was I to blog about? I had limited options as I didn't want to seem too mainstream and post photography, how to cook, etc. Yet, upon reflection, I never really did live up to what I thought I was going to blog about. So I apologize with the utmost sincerity.

Well onto the dedication part.
Sorry for the craptastic image quality(it's even upside down)
So I don't think you can really tell, but there is a bike in the white cement, and just random color everywhere else. And yes I do have a background for this. These paint splurges are courtesy of my neighbor, who tends to do everything on his own, as opposed to going out and buying the stuff. The entire family is like that, and I think it's amazing and commend them for that. So since they're moving, I decided to dedicate this one last post to them. I think they are amazing people, and they have helped my family out multiple times. I doubt any of them will read this blog (which is probably a good thing) but I would like to thank them for being the best neighbors, and most phenomenal people I know! So thank you!!!

PEACE

LOVE

HONEST

There was yet another tile that graces the stone pathway in my frontyard that I believe says humor. However, the quality wasn't the best so I decided not to post yet another picture that was hard to decipher. I hope none of you decipher this as mainstream; considering everything that people depict says "Peace, Love, Smile, Hope" etc.  I find all of these words, concepts, to be the basis of humanity. Yet I find that no one really upholds them. Well everyone does to a certain degree, yet they take it to far. People stress the meaning of these words to a point that all there saying is: I'm the one keeping the peace, give everyone hope, smile no matter what comes your way...and so on and so forth.

Yet people also stress the down side of life as well
People tend to make things larger than life, always emphasizing something in some way. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I had to speak my mind. So to the numerous people who do this, please calm yourself. And I should take my own advice as well so as not to appear as a hypocrite.
I want that sticker
So on my way to orchestra class one day, I happened to walk through the junior parking lot and stumbled across this car. If you look at the bottom right corner of the window, you will see the sign for The Deathly Hallows! That's pretty dang shnazzy if you ask me!
And of course, we must have the connotation for The Deathly Hallows.

Yeah, I think I should maybe give you a heads up: I'm totally splurging on this blog because it is most likely the last post I will ever write, unless people say otherwise. But, whatever, I actually had a good time writing some of these posts. Albeit, it took me a while to get into the groove of finding topics to write about.
Reading Statues
So as I was on my way to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Leonardo Museum, I walked through a park that was filled with statues depicting activities that children commonly perform outside. There were also some depicting children performing cartwheels, riding bicycles, etc. However, this was probably the best picture I took. It kind of reminds me of my 2nd or 3rd blog post -  Fountain Art - so yeah, throwback to way back then.
Tangled Symbol?
So anyone else have to go to family reunions on occasion? Yeah, well we do this birthday celebrating thing every 2 months, or whenever there is a holiday such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, etc. Well, me and two of my cousins ended up dedicating our entire time to drawing with chalk. This was one of my creations, the center are the "helicopter" seeds. You know them; as kid you most likely threw them up and into the air, watching them pinwheel downwards. I know I did for sure. These seeds  were littered across the sidewalk, and I created this. Kind of reminds me of the sun-flower from Tangled.
Just another image to commemorate the day
Yeah, I ended up coloring my shoes with chalk.

Well, there isn't much else to say. Well, I guess I could throw in one last dedication to a pretty good ski year....yeah sure why not?
 Skis on Chairlift
A collection of chairlift moments
Thought this was a pretty cool picture
Obviously as seen in the above picture, we were running out of snow. So this is most likely from March or something.
A bit earlier in the ski season, when there was snow
So my ski poles placed oh so majestically into the powder as I took a moment to observe my surroundings. The run I had skied was a black I think, maybe double. I can't remember. I do remember the fact that the snow was great, and I continued to ski that run for the rest of the day as no one else had skied the snow. Fresh powder!
Lots of feet

Some feet
And just because I have an obsession with these kind of pictures. Don't ask me why, I don't even know myself. Anyone see their shoes? The pictures were taken about a month with entirely different people, except myself and one other friend of mine I believe. Well enough of that, onto the last subject of the day.

#cowgirlselfie
So I volunteer at this horse place, and on occasion I am allowed to ride. Huh, I had forgotten I was actually wearing a cowgirl hat. Now upon reflection, it was quite a sunny day, and yes cowgirl/boy hats are actually very efficient in keeping the sun out of your eyes.

Well that's all i've got for now, have a great summer! And enjoy the rest of the school year! ;)

Oh and thanks Mr. Parker for making me write this, it became quite enjoyable. It was an interesting experience that I won't forget!

Equine in a Sense

Equine -

of, relating to, or affecting horses or other members of the horse family

Quick! Start listing everything you know about horses!!: (Am I even allowed to put a colon right there?):
Zebra
Horse
Zorse!
Zonkey! (I've actually seen one)
Donkey
Mule
Burro (legit that is equine)
PEGASUS!!!!
UNICORN!!!!
Narwhal??!!?!?!?!? Haha, psych, that's just a sea-unicorn
Ok yeah, that's all I know. Well, at least all I feel the need to list right now. Half tempted to just lay my head on the desk, close my eyes, sleep. Yeah, no that's not ok! That's a dream that would be to good to be true.

Sorry for Poor Image Quality
Soo....horses aye? Yeah I don't know what I'm thinking. My brain realizes it's the end of the year, thus it begins to slowly shut down at the prospect of summer. So here are a few pics I drew of horse-related creatures.

Yeah, I had to draw the Unicorn for class. French class no less. The story behind it? We had to write a story with vocab from our (obviously) vocabulary unit. So what was I to do? Be a stereotypical teenager and write something about a unicorn. Yeah, whatever.

So it's spring, which means shorts and t-shirts, sandals, the prospect of summer.....man just 21 more days till school is out!!!! 22 if you count today, (which is Tuesday though I probably won't actually post this blog till like thursday or something) Does anyone know how to set up a little count-down-thingy-ma-bob? Cause they should totally show me. And no, MY IDEA! No one takes it! I shall have the countdown to the last day of school!!! Mwuahahaha (Insert really deep evil laugh)

Jeez, sorry, I am all over the place today. My mind is going in a million directions. Like literally as I type this I'm thinking about the karate practice I had yesterday, how I have soccer practice tonight for the first time and I haven't practiced in like six months....Yeah I'm screwed!
Yeah, I'm Dutch which makes this even better

Hey since it's spring maybe I can actual go around town and like do art-ish related stuff!! Like play violin, be a mime, you know, the usual!

Well, music is calling my name, so is procrastination....see ya!

Oh check out this cool blog by a friend of mine, you don't have to, you just should.

Half Way Through The Week

WAKE UP!!!
I wish someone would shout. But no one will. I sit at my desk in Computer Technology, beginning to doze as I have completed most of the work. I feel as if my eyes are open, yet when my brain tells my eyelids to move I find that they have indeed been closed the entire time. Note to self, don't go to bed late, only to awaken early. Yeah I keep telling myself that, it will never work.

Well typical life of a teenager, and there's also the fact that school starts much too early for my liking. I mean come on, I have to board my bus by 6:37-ish in the morning, arrive at school by 7, chill with friends, cram for tests, all until 7:30. That's when the bell rings, signaling the beginning of a day filled with work. Now I wouldn't mind it at all; if only teachers could make it interesting. Would teaching a class while hiking be so bad? Let us sit on the floor as opposed to the cold hard desks; constantly shifting as we try to find the most comfortable position. Let us talk amongst each other, it's how I retain information. Joking about the prospect being brought up in class, arguing as we decide what the subject truly means, or just overall enjoying the topic.

Teachers tell us to be quiet by the end of the day, to "shut up and sit still!". How are we to do this, when that's what we have been doing all day? "Don't you guys have P.E?!" I have heard many teachers inquire. Yes, for 2 quarters out of 4. Some of us take it online so as to have more time to do the arduous homework for our core classes. Just as an FYI, we do have other classes; anyone else feel me? I feel as if my science teacher gives me two hours of homework because they think I don't take any other classes, just straight up science. Then my math teacher gives me an hour, ignorant of the science homework. Let's not forget I have to study 200 words for a 20 question vocabulary test for AP! Then again, I chose the classes I have. So I gotta take what I dish out.

Wow, sorry about that rant. It's just that CRTs are coming up. Oh excuse me, SAGE testing is coming up. Such a pretty name for such a hateful topic. To top that off, I still have a bunch of exams coming up during the testing. I mean no offense to anyone out there!! Especially my teachers! I love all the classes I take ––– true story. No truly! I enjoy school, and the prospect of learning. Ok, go ahead call me a nerd, although I'm pretty sure you would be using the word incorrectly.

Nerd
a foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious

I'm not too boring! (I hope) I wouldn't really know considering I've never actually met myself. But yes, school can be a ton of fun. And I am fortunate to even be attending school. My class & I are reading Romeo & Juliet in class, it states that girls at around the age of thirteen are getting married and having children. Juliet herself is only turning fourteen and her parents would like her to think about the prospect of getting married. I am indeed very fortunate that I am not in that situation.

So I just reread the description of my blog, yeah it doesn't really coincide does it? I apologize. Umm...Well I hate to do this, but here is a picture I drew recently. I noticed that it said I would post some of my own art, I don't even know what I was thinking when I said that. Some feedback would be nice, anything that I can improve on. Please don't feel the need to give compliments; it is something that we are forced to do, especially as society sees fit. I want actual feedback! Please critique! (That's if I have any readers however....hmmm I may have a dilema)

So I Have My Craptastic Art Days
And My Mediocre Days

HATER OING TO HATE, POTATOES GOING TO POTATE. -THE BROWNIE

Well that's just downright inspirational. Thank you The Brownie! Yes dearest readers, that was someone else who wrote. Non moi. Though I did decide to introduce you to the wonderful language of gibberish before The Brownie so boldly interfered.

Well Happy Earth Day, and welcome back from Spring Break! Yeah, no I wish I wasn't typing this (no offense) but it would mean I was still on vacation. So here's a tribute to that wonderful week away from school.
I apologize for bad image quality

Anasazi Petroglyphs. Exquisite in every sense. One wonders what pigments they used, or if they carved them into the rock. If so, how did erosion weather the rock away to such a point that it has become smooth, but not taken away from the finesse of the image. Well I did a brief research on the subject, for I did not want to proffer inadequate information. So they are indeed "carved" into the rock. The word originates from the Greek root petro, or a more common form, petra which translates as rock/stone. That then combines with glyphenin, or "to carve"
I apologize for bad image quality
Does anyone else know what the symbol on the right symbolizes in image two? I have a few ideas, but I'm not sure they're correct.

Spring Break

Spring Break! At last! Well, three more hours of school left until I am free. Spring break couldn't have come at a better time, the snow is melting, birds are returning, flowers are growing. Well more or less. The weather here is just messed up: one minute it's snowing, the next it's summer, then it's winter again.

So today has most definitely been amazing. For anyone who doesn't understand, it's because it was the last day of school before spring break! Finally! So some advice for the day before spring break, hang with good friends, watch movies, and go adventuring!

Well, that's what I did today, I hope others had a good time too. And since my friend and I are so artsy, we kind of went on a photography rampage. I apologize if the quality is mediocre.

No Filter
So after trekking through the dense forest, snow still clinging to the earth beneath the trees, we came upon a stream that we followed. This of course led to wetlands, where our feet got thoroughly soaked. Pretty shnazzy nail polish aye? Neon green and like galaxy purple. I'm not really sure if those are the real colors, but let's just go with it shall we?

Filtered
This was yet another picture that I thought was quite clever. Our shoes tossed aside and forgotten, with all the freedom of one who is on vacation. I once again apologize if the image is unclear.

On the subject of photography, and resolutions, I actually learned how to create a 3D image in computer technology today. It was a lot of fun, we were allowed to venture outside taking pictures, and then turn them into 3D images on photoshop. So for anyone who has a stray pair of 3D glasses lying around, check out this picture (And come on, I bet a few of you have snatched a pair of recyclable pair from the movie theater).

Well have a good spring break everyone!!!!!

It's a Wednesday?

Bwuahahaha! Return of the moose statue!!
ummmm
I'm sorry I had to. It seems I have at last embraced the town spirit of obsessing over moose. So anyways, on to other subjects before this turns into a blog about moose...........

Well now I'm at a total loss as to what to write! I can't blog about the weather, did that last time. And I can't blog about moose AGAIN (not yet anyway). So, oh I know! One time, two blog posts ago, the What to Say post, I mentioned I had an idea as to what I should blog about!!

Well, that would have had to have been (wow mouthful) SHERLOCK!!! Aka, BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH!! Yes I'm sorry, I had to do at least one post about one of my favorite shows, albeit I don't watch many. On a side note, isn't the word albeit wonderful? Sorry word nerd over here. Anyhow, I have only one thing to say about this show, well one that I can display via picture.
And yes, I do adore this show. I also have read just about every sherlock story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Each story is an enticing mystery that I can't help but read. Granted, there are a few that aren't as good as the others, but they are fabulous all the same.

Some fun facts of the day: The methods Sherlock uses to solve crimes were actually used in England for a time by medical practitioners and others. Also, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did not like the character Sherlock, but was pressured into writing the stories. Spoiler Alert - that is the reason as to why Sherlock "died" at the end of the first volume. However, so many fans were outraged that he had to continue the series. He also published the books at around the time of Jack the Ripper, the reason as to why he created a crime solving hero.

Wow, I apologize. I tend to stray from topics quite quickly. It's a problem, I know and I'm sorry. I have a very short attention span, which teachers don't seem to understand, so anyway back to Sherlock before I go off on a rant!

So if you haven't already recognized the actors, you should have. On the left we have Benedict Cumberbatch who acts in Star Trek Into Darkness, The Hobbit as the voice of Smaug, August: Osage County, and many don't know this...but in War Horse.

Now, on the right we have Martin Freeman. Acclaimed for acting as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit. Also acts in The Office apparently, The HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and others.

Anyhow, this TV Show is a must see!! I won't go into details, because I don't want to give anything away, which tends to happen on occasions.....

For more information on actors, I recommend this cool  blog by a friend of mine!

Anyhow, who else likes these wind instruments/mechanisms (for lack of a better word)

These metal contraptions bend to the winds demands, swirling and twirling on a good day. Can be quite mesmerizing at times. Just like those spin-fan thing-a-ma-bobbers we always played with as children. Yeah, you know, the rainbow colored ones. The toys that made kids puff up their cheeks like a puffer fish and blow with all their might until they got the wheel to spin. Remember those things? Well here's a friendly reminder.
Starting to ring a bell? Well it should.

Good gracious, I actually wrote real words and posted on a day other than Friday! I must be feeling quite gracious!

P.S
Don't get used to it. This is probably a first and a last time I will actually post this early. We shall see though

From Spring to Winter to Moose and Back to Spring

Ok, ok i'm sorry i'm doing another post about moose. Haha, yep, no i'm not. So I finally decided to get out and about and walk the town, see the world. And upon this venture, I discovered that even when it comes to construction, there are still moose! Left and right, right and left. Up, down, diagonal to diagonal. Even from Yes, to No.
Fabulous Shadow of Me Taking Pic
So, moose on construction fence. As well as a biker, and your typical PC Miner picks. You know, way back when mining was a thing. Yeah, that got way too mainstream for us. So we turned into a ski town.
Oh Look! Another One!
And here is another part of the fence that is located a bit farther down. As you can see, once again a moose and biker. As well as what I believe to be a skier.

Ok, so based on my blog title, you must assume that I am going to blog about the ridiculousness about the weather here. Well you know what, I am. I don't care if you don't like it, but I am.
So one minute the weather is all like "Yeah I give up with snow. I will give you an early spring."
Fabulous Snapchat Picture
Then my reaction, as well as my family's, is "YES! Finally! Time to try out new soccer ball." Don't know if you can tell, but this is the design for the Brazuca ball. Albeit it is in different colors. Well, that day would've been an amazing practice day for me and my brother, had the rugby team not taken the good field. However, that is a pretty cool sport, just not when it intervenes with mine. So then, about four days later, Jack Frost decides to come to town.
And yes, I did just post a picture of Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians. Then it snows again! Three days in a row! Including this morning! Now I'm happy that it snowed, hopefully it will prevent a drought since Colorado and the East Coast seem to have stolen our snow. But then, it warms up to about 50º some degrees in the afternoon. With this dramatic change in the weather, I discovered this in my back yard.
Yellow Crocus
Normally these flowers are a sign of spring right? And yet, my mom is still going to make me go skiing tomorrow on nec bene nec male/comme ci comme ca/so-so snow. Grrrrr......

Wow, did I go overboard on the pictures? eh, nah. I would post more, but then I take it people would get fed up with all of the meese/moosen/moose. Oh wait!!! I have to post this one last one! Because instead of my town being obsessed with moose, the moose seem to be obsessed with my town/neighborhood.
Moose in Yard!!!
Yep, today two moose decided to invade a yard, the one that borders mine. In fact, as I look out my window, I can still see them camped out. Well, looks like they made themselves comfortable. So they have been out there since around 4:00 PM I want to say. Wich is awesome, yet at the same time a bummer. So of course that meant my little brother and I couldn't shoot hoops, nor could we let the dog out for fear of the moose charging us. That may not seem like a big deal to any of those who have never seen or grown up with moose, but trust me, it is terrifying!!!

What to Say

Well, just beforehand, I apologize to any of you out there who are uncomfortable with the use of profanity.
And this is why I love where I live! No more signs saying you will pay a 300 dollar fine or whatever, just this painted on the sidewalk. Lovely really. In all truths I was overjoyed when I saw this, and I do hope it is self-explanatory. People's expressions though, pretty fantastic.

Cause honestly, people really need to pick up after their dogs. I don't care if it's winter, or mud season and there is snow on the ground. Come spring, all that dog crap will still be there. And it is disgusting. So please use common sense, albeit common sense isn't very common these days.

So on a different note, who else had finals this week? End of the quarter was this week, well at least for me it was. Anyone else upset with teachers for unfair grades? Yeah, I hear ya.
So at the beginning of the school year, it's an internal groan. The start of school signifies work after school, whether it be busywork or not is irrelevant...it's still work. However, there is always the plus factor of being able to see friends once again. Then you progress into the second quarter, the real indication that you are trapped. Trapped in a world of nondescript walls, monotonous voices, tests, and more. Then comes third quarter, or the end of it. This signifies we are more than half way through the school year, unfortunately it also means CRT's, ACT's, SAT's, all of those lovely tests. Who else is excited? *please note sarcasm* But eventually they will end, as will fourth quarter, and we can once again return to our home worlds of summer. Meaning lazy days, sleeping in, travelling the world, visiting family, sports galore, chilling with friends, and so much more.

Wow, I must really be in a good mood if I wrote this much. And I still feel as if I have more to say. The real question is however, should I say it? ........Yes.......No....... Nah, come on guys that's too mainstream. The answer every time is MAYBE. Honestly, the word works in just about every situation! And truth be told, it is a steadfast way in which to annoy and avoid someone or something. It is truly a magical word.

Well, those are just some perfect things to say when stumped or frustrated. Oh and please don't forget my favorite:
Well New Idea for Next Blog
Well, Bon Weekend (and yes that's French the 'end' in Weekend is pronounced like 'and' with a British accent) and thanks again for actually reading this crazy stuff!

All of the Moosen

Yes I did just say Moosen, as in Moose plural. But for any of you out there who totally disagree with that, fine. It's Meese. Why am I talking about the different forms of Moose? Well like I said in an earlier blog post ––– my town is obsessed with moose. And like I also said in a previous post, "I will try and get more pictures" well.... here's one!
Metal Moose
So above we have the almighty moose, located near my school. I frequently walk by it when going to one of my classes located in a different building.

I can't think of anything to write. I can't think of anything to write. I can't think...IDEA! Well based off of that I would just like to thank a fifth grade teacher of mine who taught me how to write that. She would say, and I quote, "If you can't think of anything to write, write I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING TO WRITE until you have an idea." So whenever we were required to do a timed writing, which was practically everyday, that was what you wrote if you had no idea. She gave you the points for it if you did too.
Well blast from the past right there.

On a different note, well actually I'm referring back to my original subject, this is a metal moose. Yes, I know that may seem obvious, but maybe some of you didn't realize. And fun fact of the day, I actually have a friend whose dad used to make objects like this. He is a "blacksmith", forgive the archaic word, and worked with all types of metal. My friend even picked up a thing or two and she can make a few metallic structures herself. Fascinating really. Here is a picture of one of the articles she made, which she gave to me as a birthday present.

Soccer Moose

Oh and one last thing, please check out this amazing blog by a friend of mine!

Friday Again

March already, what to do what to do. Only three more months about until school is out!
This is a tribute to my home town
So, winter is at an end...anyone else happy about that? I am, however I wish I could have gotten a few more really good ski days in. But, from the looks of the weather it's not going to be like that. Hmm, typical right? When you don't know what to discuss, weather is the subject to be on.

Well, mud season is approaching, and there is nothing to do but read, or track, or swim, and I'm stopping now. So any readers out there? If not, oh well I'm blogging about books.
So some of my favorite books that are a must read consist of all sorts of genres. From historical-fiction to fiction and science-fiction to mathematics. Yes I'm weird, I actually read stuff that is educational.

So a few must reads are:
The Glass Castle - Jeannette Walls - a tale based on a true story
Harry Potter - J.K Rowling -  a classic in every sense
The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova - honestly I was not to thrilled when I was informed I had to read this for a book group. Considering the main topic happens to consist of vampires. BUT! it was about the original vampire, Vlad Dracula, and was a tale of how he had survived and is hidden among us. The book is set in the 1900s in Europe. It goes into detail about the Byzantine Empire, the original Vlad the Impaler, etc. It's kind of hard to explain, but it is truly a good read.
The Devil and Miss Prym - Paulo Coelho - A book that displays human nature at its core. Where basically the "Devil" comes into a town and tells the townsfolk they have one week to kill one of the town members, and they could receive 11 bars of pure gold. A young barmaid is first informed of this, and fights with her inner demons. To either take the gold, or stay.
Eragon - Christopher Paolini - once again another fictional classic
Jurassic Park - Michael Crichton - Yet another older classic, that raises the questions of reviving extinct creatures

Well, there is my inner nerd! Book lover!

Well good bye imaginary readers! Until next time!

Random

Snow Spiral
So obviously drawn in snow. I honestly have no idea what to write. I wonder if gibberish would count towards my grade? Hmmmm......probably not which is unfortunate. Hey that's something I could write about!

Anyone here fluent in pig latin? Anyoneay erehay luentfay inay igpay atinlay? For anyone who isn't, you just add ay to the end of a word. And whenever the word begins with a consonant you take the first consonant, put it at the end of the word, and add ay. Pretty simple.

Some of you more advanced? Well then. Here's how to ask how are you in French!
Ca'va?
Commo talli vu?
Yeah, I can't spell. I'm sorry!

Anyone out there weird like me and speak Latin? I thought not. Here are a few things you can say which will completely baffle friends.
Quid agis hodie? - How are you today?
Quiesco! - Shut up!
Quiscum fatuum puerum/puella - shut up stupid boy/girl
Salve! - Hello!
Errare Human est - to error is human
So yeah, there's some latin for all of you. And no I'm not going to post any cuss words, my teacher grades this blog!

Anyone out there who codes/ciphers/writes in runes? Well here are a few of my favorites:
  • A Caesar Cipher is basically mixing up the English Alphabet so that one letter really means another. And you can go to the extreme so that you have to un-code two layers.
  • Anglo Saxon Runes have become widely used after the production of the Hobbit. These ruins were also used by the vikings, saxons, and anglos. A little history, the saxons were from Germany and the Anglos were the Frieslanders from Sweden, Norway, etc. Anglos and Saxons both immigrated to England, Great Britain in general really, and took up residence there. Eventually being known as the Anglo Saxons.   J.R.R Tolkein also uses these runes in the hobbit. They are the letters found etched on the outside of the book, the letters on the map, and the letters revealed by the moon.
Ha! Now I've reached the required minimum amount of words! Plus, I can't really remember any other good ciphers and such. Next time I will post more, and hopefully my French and stuff will be spelled correctly next time!!

Vandalism? Or Awesomeness?

Ok, due to the title you be thinking, "Oh crap it's another vandalism rant!" Well sort of, and I apologize. But honestly, no one should consider this vandalism:
GODZILLA!!

So how amazing is that?! Someone managed to graph Godzilla, a Sky scraper, and an Airplane –– on a freaking calculator!!!!!!!!! How talented is that??!!!!!! One heck of a way to spend a math class too. The story behind it all is basically a student took my math teacher's calculator, and spent the entire class doing this. Talented . . . I think yes!

So the olympics, eh? Wow, Canadian moment right there! But I mean hey, they've been doing pretty well this year!! Of course so has Russia, must be their home turf and all. However I still stand strong in my belief that Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, or America will pull through!! So far the dutch men have one 8/9 gold medals for skating. Or so I've been informed.

Ok, so right now, I'm like soo bored! Which seems to be true of me every time I'm writing this. In my defense I normally write this when I have spare time, or I'm bored with whatever I'm doing. So today's boredom class, well not really a class, but SCIENCE FAIR!!! So basically I've already been judged, already been graded, and I still have to sit here another hour. Oh well, hey look! People I actually know! Well I will write more later.

Hey all! It's me again! So anyhow what happened was yesterday I had the Science Fair and started writing my blog, but never finished it. You may think, "Uh it can be however long you want it to be" if you thought, ha! You're wrong!! I have a requirement of 300-500 words. Annoying, but I get by.

Anyhow, just finished an Odyssey test!! How fun is that right? I did pretty well, not as well as I had hoped however. I really want to know what I got wrong, plus my computer wasn't working. Thus if there were an additional few questions, I may have missed them. Me being me though, I didn't complain about it not working. So now I have a mediocre score. Oh well.

Sorry, really boring post so far. But what can I say? If I typed everything that came to mind, oh boy! That would not end well!! And no, I'm not going to give an example, that would totally undermine my point!

So anyone out there from the east coast? I hear you guys actually got snow!! Congratulations!!!! 14-16 inches right? Even some sleet/hail/snow in Georgia! Mission accomplished! Poor Florida though, still about 78º F. Maybe someday.

Well bye all!!

So Bored!!!

Hey people! Not like I have any readers, eh whatever! It's a requirement, and I feel bad for all those people who actually spend the time to read this. Haha, not!
Hmm, so I'm in my computer technology class and I'm excruciatingly bored! I already finished the assignments, cause their easy. Any who, what am I supposed to do? Tehe I rhymed. Sorry sorry! Like I said, I'm booorrrrrrrreeeeeddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my blog has been going a bit off topic from what I originally said it would be like, I apologize. I was kinda thinking, "This is the same as every other photography blog." I'm sorry!!! I can't do all the fun art stuff I had originally planned on doing! It got too cold! You guys saw one of my previous posts, the one where I tried to create amazing ice globes? Well yeah, of course that didn't work out for me!! So here I am, bored with no fun art. Meaning you guys must be ten trillion times more bored.

Well it snowed over the weekend, only a tad bit unfortunately. Here are some attributes to my home town!

Moose!
Just as a little side note, my town is OBSESSED with moose. We have statues adorning the entire town! All up and down Main Street, near car washes, in peoples yards, outside of stores, all are statues of moose. Each has its own aspect making it unique: one painted with scenery; another bedecked with scarf, hat, and boots; and yet a third painted with dogs! It's quite strange, but gives our town a sort of charm.

So as I was strolling along Mainstreet today, I came across this new moose. This one is a gate going to an alley between two restaurants. Now I know what you're thinking-"Alley! Danger! Let's be rebels and adventure down it!" Well, maybe you weren't thinking exactly along those lines, but it matters not. It's basically a space between two shops where someone decided to put up an awesome moose gate!
And this is art, is it not? If I have time I will try to collect pictures of all the moose, meese, and flocks of meesen statues that plague my town.

Ohh, I another thing I finally remembered. Like three-four posts ago I said I would start doing shout outs to some other blogs, I'm sorry I haven't been doing that! So here are two for today, or night, whatever time it is. So first to this crazy guy, for inspiring and funny posts! And to this amazing girl! All of her posts are clarifying and funny! Thank you guys!

Up Coming Events

Anyone excited for the winter olympics coming up? Or how about the Super Bowl? Anyone up for World Cup Soccer?

To all of those Football loving Americans, the Super Bowl is on Sunday! As you should know- which I didn't and ended up asking a friend. The result being making a total fool of myself!! So anyhow, the game that will be commencing is Seahawks vs Broncos at 6:30 pm. And according to this website, we have 2 days, 1 hour, 2 minutes, and 20 seconds until kickoff. Of course the time is ticking down as I type this.
Go Broncos!

The Olympics of 2014 are being held in Sochi Russia to any of those who didn't know. They begin on February 7, 2014. And this year Nordic Ski Jumping for women is finally being introduced! One of my previous teacher's daughter is competing! She will be among some of the first to ever ski jump in the olympics as a woman!

Nordic Ski Jumping is quite the sport. Hurtling down an angled track to end up flying straight off a jump! You go flying through the air, sailing quite a few feet if you get enough momentum! How would I know this? In the past as a part of the P.E program, my grade got to experience this wonderful sport. You feel as if you're flying! Of course you have to stick the landing. If you don't, yard-sale!!!!!

World Cup this summer! Anyone going to Brazil? I have a few friends who are, and I'm so jealous! I guess I have a little token for the match however; the T.V and a model of the new Brazuca soccer ball. Well it's not mine per say, my sister's really. But hey, I can borrow it on the occasion...right?

Germany looks like they will do pretty well this year, they have new players that are really pulling the team together. I personally will continue to root for the Netherlands. Brazil and Spain of course are doing well.

January 31st, at last! January just seems to drag on and on! In my opinion it is the longest month of the year. There are no deadlines in January, New year has passed, and everyone is just trying to get their feet under them. All of my teachers seem to want to repeat the same lesson, over and over again. Well good news is Winter Break is coming up! A time to relax, ski, and forget about school. Just two more weeks away. Unfortunately, Science Fair is just around the corner. Needless to say, I still have a ton of work to do.

Friday, At Last!

It's finally friday! Which of course leads to the end of another school week; then the weekend which is abundant with laziness, sports, and hanging out with friends. Amazing right? Most definitely my favorite time of the week. And finally I can enjoy it, because all the tourists are leaving!! The ones who attended the Sundance Film Festival at least. I can now walk to my orchestra class without having to worry about running into people coming from a film in the Eccles. Center. Or go skiing without having to dodge people who think they are so adept at swinging, when really they have no idea whatsoever what they're supposed to be doing.
Yes we do need people to come and visit, it is after all good for the economy. Sometimes though it's like ''How can you be so stupid, it's this not that!'' I know that's unfair, plus I mean I'm a hypocrite seeing as how I have been to other places and not known what was going on.

Anyways, I attempted to try this one project. It involved putting died water into a water balloon, freezing it overnight (Either in the freezer or outside if it is 32º F or colder). In the morning you are supposed to peel off the balloon to have an ice globe. It looked like so much fun, so of course I tried it to appeal to my younger sister and her friends. The only problem, finding a sink faucet that wouldn't tear the balloon. Needless to say I couldn't find one. The metal on the faucets at my house were edged and tore through the fine plastic. 'Why not use a cap?' you might ask, you know the ones you put on hoses to better control the water flow, well of course it didn't fit. So in the end my hands were stained blue, red, purple, green, and pink from all the food dye exploding on my hands when the balloon ripped. Grrrrrrr...........

What Should have
Happened
Maybe next time I will get it right. Oh yeah and this is the end result.

So yeah, maybe someday I will succeed like this person.

Well anyhow you guys have a good weekend! And have fun with the snow for those of you who live on the east coast of the US!
